THE KATY
Parsons has always been a railroad town. As was with most of the nation, the 1920’s was a time of general prosperity. The Katy Railroad opened the golf course with 150 chartered members in 1926. The golf course operated as member association until 2014, where at that time the organization was converted to a private ownership.. With the management change, however, the Katy remains deeply rooted in its golf culture and railroad heritage. The Katy Golf Course is a premiere 9 hole public golf facility and is known throughout the four state area for its historic beauty and challenging holes. Our narrow Bermuda fairways are well manicured and lined with mature trees while our greens are large with undulating bent grass.
The par-72 golf course measures 6494 yards and has a 129 slope rating.
The Katy is a full service golf club. In addition to a beautiful 9-hole course, we have an indoor, high definition golf simulator that provides a fun and effective practice source. A fully stocked cooler of your favorite cereal malt beverage and a seasoned grill are all designed to make your next golf outing a pleasurable one. The manageable length of the golf course, along with our affordable anytime rates make the Katy your best choice for outdoor recreation. We’ll see you soon at the Katy.
